Postal Worker Arrested in Pathum Thani Following Drug Investigation

On August 26, 2026, the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) Region 1 conducted an operation in the Bueng Yitho sub-district of Pathum Thani province. According to a report by Khaosod Online, the action followed a tip-off received via the 1386 hotline, which alleged that a postal worker, identified as Mr. Chatchai, was involved in the distribution and consumption of narcotics at his residence near Wat Khian Khet.

Upon coordinating with the Rangsit Post Office supervisor, officials conducted a field inspection and administered a urine test to the suspect. The test returned positive for methamphetamine. Mr. Chatchai reportedly confessed to consuming two pills on August 23, claiming he purchased them from an individual known as 'Pu' who delivered the substances to his home.

For residents and visitors, this incident highlights the ongoing efforts by Thai authorities to address drug-related activities through community reporting. While the suspect admitted to personal consumption, the allegations regarding his involvement in drug distribution remain under investigation. The Rangsit Post Office has initiated a disciplinary committee to address the matter internally.
