Emergency responders from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation, along with the Erawan Emergency Medical System and local fire and rescue units, were dispatched to the scene. Rescuers faced hazardous conditions, requiring specialized protective gear to navigate the swarm and reach the victims. The operation to extract the injured took over an hour due to the persistent aggression of the bees.
Four individuals—three women and one man—sustained serious injuries from the stings and were transported to the hospital for urgent medical care. For residents and travelers in the area, this incident serves as a reminder to remain vigilant regarding large insect nests in residential zones. While the immediate area was secured by emergency teams, it remains to be confirmed if the hive has been safely removed or if residual bee activity persists in the vicinity.
