On August 26, 2026, Chonburi police arrested a 64-year-old truck driver following a reported road rage incident on the Chonburi bypass road heading toward Bangkok. According to Khaosod Online, the incident began when a 36-year-old trailer truck driver, identified as Mr. Arthit, reported being pursued and threatened with a firearm by another truck driver after a traffic dispute.
Police intercepted the suspect’s six-wheel truck near Sukprayoon Road in Na Pa sub-district. During the stop, the suspect attempted to flee and was observed discarding an object from his vehicle. Officers later recovered a .22 caliber handgun from the area, which they believe was used in the confrontation. The suspect, identified as Mr. Kamjat, reportedly admitted to the police that he brandished the weapon to intimidate the other driver but claimed he had no intention of firing it.
