Deadline Approaching for 2026 State Welfare Card Appeals

According to Khaosod Online, the Thai Ministry of Finance has announced that there are only six days remaining for applicants to appeal their status regarding the 2026 State Welfare Card program. As of August 26, 2026, Ministry spokesperson Winit Wisesuwanphum reported that out of over 9.3 million individuals who did not pass the initial qualification check, approximately 4.7 million have already submitted requests for a review of their eligibility.

For residents or those managing local affairs, this deadline is critical for anyone who believes their disqualification was due to outdated information or administrative errors. The Ministry emphasizes that those who wish to contest the results must complete their appeal by August 31, 2026. Submissions can be made via the official state welfare website, the 'Pao Tang' or 'Tang Rat' mobile applications, or at designated branches of five participating banks.

While the government is actively processing these reviews, the final status of those who have not yet appealed remains unconfirmed. It is important to note that this program is specific to Thai nationals meeting state criteria; it does not impact foreign tourists or expatriates.
