Bruno Fernandes Named PFA Men’s Player of the Year
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been awarded the PFA Men’s Player of the Year for his record-breaking 2025-26 Premier League performance.
According to Khaosod Online Thailand, Manchester United midfielder and captain Bruno Fernandes has been honored with the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Men’s Player of the Year award. This recognition follows his exceptional performance during the 2025-26 Premier League season, where he set a new league record by providing 21 assists. In addition to his playmaking, Fernandes scored nine goals, contributing significantly to Manchester United’s third-place finish and their qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
Fernandes is the second Portuguese player to receive this accolade, following Cristiano Ronaldo’s consecutive wins in 2007 and 2008. Furthermore, he is the first Manchester United player to secure the award in 16 years, with Wayne Rooney being the last recipient in 2010. The PFA also recognized Manchester City’s Nico O'Reilly as the Men’s Young Player of the Year.
For residents and visitors in Thailand who follow international football, this achievement highlights a significant milestone for the club. While the individual awards for the men’s category have been confirmed, further details regarding the full list of PFA award winners, including the women’s category, remain to be finalized in official reports.
