Authorities Investigate Assault of 15-Year-Old in Phatthalung
A 15-year-old girl has sought assistance after being assaulted by a group of older students, with the incident recorded and shared on social media.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand on August 25, 2026, a 15-year-old girl has sought help after being physically assaulted by a group of older students in Phatthalung province. The victim reported that she was lured to a school in Mueang Phatthalung district on the evening of August 24, where she was attacked. The perpetrators recorded the incident and subsequently shared the footage on social media, causing the victim significant distress and humiliation.
The victim stated that she had previously experienced threats from the same group, which led her to drop out of school during her third year of secondary education. Despite leaving the school, she reported continued harassment. Following the recent assault, the Phatthalung Provincial Office of Social Development and Human Security intervened to provide support and assisted the victim in filing a formal complaint with the Mueang Phatthalung Police Station.
