Local authorities in Udon Thani have questioned and released a man who gained viral attention for breakdancing at a busy traffic intersection.
On August 25, 2026, police in Udon Thani summoned a man identified as Mr. Witthaya, known as 'Wit,' following the circulation of viral social media footage showing him breakdancing at a traffic intersection while vehicles waited for the signal.
According to Khaosod Online, traffic officers from the Mueang Udon Thani Police Station brought Mr. Witthaya in for questioning to address the incident. As part of the standard legal procedure, authorities conducted a drug test, which returned negative results. Following the test, officers provided a formal warning regarding his behavior, emphasizing the importance of public safety and the inappropriateness of performing in active traffic areas. He was subsequently released without further charges.
For residents and travelers, this incident serves as a reminder that while Thailand is known for its vibrant street culture, performing in active traffic lanes is considered a safety hazard and a violation of traffic regulations.
