Authorities in Khon Kaen are investigating a trespassing incident at Wat Pa Adulyaram, with summonses issued for suspects involved in the August 10th blockade.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand on August 25, 2026, the Khon Kaen City Police are currently managing an investigation into a trespassing incident at Wat Pa Adulyaram. Police Colonel Yotsawat Kaewsuebthannit stated that the investigation follows a formal complaint filed by Uten In-ai regarding an event on August 10, 2026, where a group of approximately 16 individuals, led by 62-year-old Chommanee Noichan (known as 'Pa Da'), allegedly blocked the temple's entrances.
Authorities are currently reviewing video evidence of the incident, which circulated widely on social media and television. While the investigation is ongoing, police noted that the deadline for the summons issued to Pa Da and her associates is approaching in two days, and they have yet to contact officials. Reports indicate that some individuals involved in the incident are retired military personnel. Regarding a separate individual identified in footage as wearing a purple shirt, the police chief clarified that no summons has been issued yet concerning potential charges under Article 112 of the Criminal Code.
