Suspect Surrenders After Shooting Incident at Nonthaburi Gas Station
A 58-year-old man has turned himself in to police following a violent altercation over a parking space at a gas station in Nonthaburi.
On August 25, 2026, a 58-year-old man identified as Sanan surrendered to authorities following a shooting incident at a gas station along Kanchanaphisek Road in Nonthaburi. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the incident occurred around 8:00 AM when two pickup truck drivers engaged in a heated dispute over a parking spot.
Surveillance footage captured the confrontation, which escalated from a verbal argument to a physical fight. During the altercation, the suspect, who was wearing a green shirt, allegedly fired a weapon at the other driver, a 34-year-old man named Anan. Witnesses reported hearing five to six gunshots before the suspect collected the spent casings and fled the scene. The victim sustained injuries during the encounter.
Police from the Bang Yai station have charged the suspect with three offenses. As of the latest report, the suspect has declined to provide a statement to the media, deferring all communication to his legal counsel.
