On the morning of August 25, 2026, a fatal traffic accident occurred in Yala Province, southern Thailand. According to a report by Khaosod Online, local police were notified at approximately 5:30 a.m. regarding a sedan that had crashed into an electric pole in front of a stone mill in Moo 1, Lidon Subdistrict, Mueang Yala District.
Upon arrival, rescue teams from the Phron Yala Foundation discovered the driver, identified as 28-year-old Mr. Abdullah, trapped inside the wreckage. Responders confirmed that the victim had no pulse and was not breathing; witnesses estimated that the accident had occurred roughly one hour prior to the arrival of emergency services. The body was subsequently transported to Yala Hospital for a formal autopsy and to facilitate contact with the victim's family.
While authorities have suggested that the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel, this remains a preliminary hypothesis.
