Thai Extreme Sports Team Prepares for 20th Asian Games in Japan

According to Khaosod Online Thailand, the Extreme Sports Association of Thailand is finalizing preparations for the 20th Asian Games, scheduled to take place in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, from September 19 to October 4, 2026. The national delegation consists of nine athletes, comprising seven skateboarders and two BMX cyclists.

Leading the team is 12-year-old skateboarder 'ST' Wareeraya Sukasem, who previously gained international attention during the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The athletes are currently conducting rigorous training sessions at the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) facility in Hua Mak, Bangkok. The focus of these sessions is on perfecting individual maneuvers to ensure consistency and scoring accuracy, as well as enhancing overall physical conditioning. Wareeraya has expressed her ambition to secure a top-three finish and bring a medal home for Thai sports fans.
