Police Pursue Additional Suspects in Bangkok Shooting Case
Authorities have detained two individuals, including a 14-year-old, following a shooting that left a delivery rider critically injured in Bangkok.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand on August 25, 2026, police from the Lat Phrao station have taken legal action against suspects involved in a shooting incident that left a delivery rider with serious injuries.
Police have detained 20-year-old Ong-art, also known as Ice, and presented him to the Ratchadaphisek Criminal Court for his first detention period. He faces four charges: attempted murder, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, carrying a firearm in public, and discharging a firearm in a public area. Investigators have formally opposed bail, citing the severity of the crime and the suspect's attempt to evade capture. Additionally, a 14-year-old suspect facing the same charges was transferred to the Central Juvenile and Family Court on August 24.
For residents and travelers, this incident highlights an ongoing investigation into a violent crime within the Lat Phrao area. While the primary suspects have been processed, police are currently gathering evidence to secure arrest warrants for three additional individuals believed to be involved.
