Stock Exchange of Thailand to Delist Three Major Stocks

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has announced the delisting of CIMBT, GLAND, and LRH due to failure to meet minority shareholder distribution requirements.

According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has officially announced the delisting of three prominent stocks: CIMBT, GLAND, and LRH. The decision follows the companies' failure to comply with the exchange's requirements regarding the distribution of shares to minority shareholders.

To facilitate a final exit for investors, the SET will allow a temporary trading period for these securities from September 3 to September 11, 2026. During this window, all transactions must be conducted via a Cash Balance account. Notably, the exchange has specified that there will be no 'Ceiling & Floor' price limits on the first day of this temporary trading period. Following this window, the three stocks will officially lose their status as listed securities on September 12, 2026.

For residents and expatriates with investments in the Thai market, this development highlights the importance of monitoring regulatory compliance and listing status. While this move directly impacts shareholders of these specific entities, it serves as a reminder of the volatility associated with delisting processes. Investors should consult their financial advisors or brokerage platforms to understand how this transition affects their specific portfolios. At this time, it remains to be confirmed how individual brokerage firms will handle the final settlement of these shares after the September 12 deadline.
