Udon Thani Farmer Seeks Police Help After Tractor Theft
A 64-year-old farmer in Udon Thani has reported the theft of his Kubota tractor after suspects deceived his caretaker.
On August 24, 2026, a 64-year-old farmer named Napol filed a formal request with the Udon Thani Provincial Police, seeking assistance in recovering his orange Kubota M108 tractor. According to a report by Khaosod Online, the vehicle was stolen from a field hut in the Nong Saeng district on the evening of August 11, 2026.
Napol stated that a man and a woman arrived at the hut in a blue-grey Mazda pickup truck with Roi Et license plates. The suspects falsely claimed they had been instructed to relocate the tractor, leading the caretaker to believe them and allow the vehicle to be loaded onto a slide truck. The owner only discovered the theft on August 13 after visiting the site and speaking with the caretaker. He subsequently filed a report with the Nong Saeng Police Station.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident, with reports suggesting the tractor may have been transported toward Mukdahan province. The owner expressed concern that the machinery could be smuggled across the border or dismantled for parts. For residents and those working in rural areas, this incident highlights the importance of verifying the identity and authorization of anyone attempting to move equipment or property. While police are actively tracking the suspects, the current location of the tractor and the identities of the individuals involved remain to be confirmed.
