Upcoming Traffic Closures on Borommaratchachonnani Road for Elevated Highway Construction

According to Prachachat Business, the Department of Highways (DOH) has announced plans to implement traffic closures on Borommaratchachonnani Road starting this October. The project involves the construction of a 5-kilometer elevated highway connecting Phutthamonthon Sai 3 to Phutthamonthon Sai 4.
Director-General of the DOH, Piyapong Jiwattanakulpaisarn, stated that the project is divided into six separate contracts with a total budget of 4.386 billion baht. The initiative is designed to alleviate traffic congestion in the Thonburi area and provide a more efficient travel route toward southern Thailand. The entire project is scheduled for completion in 2027.
