Suspect Arrested for Bag Snatching in Yaowarat
Police in Bangkok have apprehended a man accused of stealing a bag containing lottery tickets and cash in the Yaowarat district.
On August 24, 2026, authorities in Bangkok arrested a male suspect following a bag-snatching incident in the Yaowarat area. According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, the stolen bag contained 267 lottery tickets and over 10,000 Thai Baht in cash.
Law enforcement officials, led by the Metropolitan Police Bureau and local investigators from the Phlapphla Chai 2 Police Station, conducted the operation. Upon processing the suspect, police discovered that he had a criminal record involving seven prior cases.
