Village Fund Initiative Offers Interest Rate Relief

Minister Suksomruay Wantaneeyakul has urged Village Fund members to apply for the 'Half-Interest' subsidy program to reduce financial burdens.

During a recent visit to Phen District in Udon Thani province, Suksomruay Wantaneeyakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and Chairperson of the National Village and Urban Community Fund Committee, announced new measures to support local financial stability. According to Prachachat Business, the government is promoting a 'Half-Interest' subsidy program designed to alleviate debt repayment burdens for fund members.

In addition to the interest relief, the Minister highlighted the 'SML Plus' initiative, which aims to unlock further financial support for community projects. The government is encouraging eligible members to submit their applications promptly to take advantage of these cost-reduction measures.

For residents and those involved in local community enterprises, these developments may signal increased liquidity and support for grassroots economic activities. While the policy is intended to ease financial pressure, the specific eligibility criteria and the exact timeline for the disbursement of these funds remain to be confirmed. Interested parties are advised to monitor official announcements from their local Village Fund committees to understand how these changes might impact their specific financial obligations or community projects.
