According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, the incident occurred in a local alleyway. The student, who had borrowed the vehicle from a friend, reported that he had just filled the fuel tank before the battery allegedly exploded while he was driving home.
Emergency responders from the Na Pa Subdistrict Municipality were dispatched to the scene at approximately 5:00 PM. Upon arrival, they found a Yamaha Mio motorcycle engulfed in flames. Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze within five minutes, though the vehicle sustained extensive damage. Fortunately, the young rider was able to jump off the motorcycle in time and did not suffer any physical injuries.
For residents and travelers, this incident serves as a reminder of the importance of vehicle maintenance, particularly regarding electrical systems and fuel safety.
