According to a report by Khaosod English, the conflict originated from a disagreement regarding the use of a temple-owned pickup truck intended for transporting rocks for maintenance work on the temple grounds.
The argument escalated into a fistfight, which left the newly ordained monk with a laceration below his left eye. The injury was significant enough to require four stitches.
