Thai authorities have launched comprehensive structural safety inspections for homes, bridges, and roads in Nan province following recent flooding.
On August 24, 2026, Deputy Minister of Interior Jasetseth Thaiseth announced that the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning (DPT) has initiated a large-scale recovery operation in Nan province. Following severe flooding, the DPT has deployed teams of engineers to Pua and Tha Wang Pha districts to assess the structural integrity of residential buildings, bridges, and local infrastructure.
