Chonburi School Teacher Suspended Following Serious Misconduct Allegations
A mathematics teacher at a school in Bang Lamung, Chonburi, has been suspended after an internal investigation found evidence of serious disciplinary misconduct involving a 16-year-old student.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand on August 24, 2026, a mathematics teacher at a prominent school in the Bang Lamung district of Chonburi province has been suspended from teaching duties. The suspension follows allegations that the teacher engaged in sexual harassment and misconduct involving a 16-year-old Grade 10 student, allegedly linked to the manipulation of academic grades.
The school’s director stated that an internal three-member committee was formed immediately after the school became aware of the situation and reviewed relevant video evidence, even before formal complaints were filed. The committee reached a unanimous decision that the teacher’s actions constituted a serious disciplinary violation. Because the teacher holds a specialized professional rank, the school has forwarded all gathered evidence—including witness statements and physical documentation—to the local Educational Service Area Office. This office is now responsible for appointing a formal disciplinary investigation committee to determine further legal and administrative actions.
The teacher, who had been employed at the school for approximately seven years, had no prior record of similar complaints. To ensure the integrity of the ongoing investigation and to protect students, the teacher has been ordered to cease all teaching duties and contact with students.
