Police Identify Suspect in Nawamin Road Shooting
Authorities have identified a suspect in the shooting of a 23-year-old motorcyclist in Bangkok, with reports indicating the individual is the son of a police officer.
According to a report by Khaosod Online on August 24, 2026, police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Nawamin Road near the Pho Kaeo intersection in Bangkok’s Bueng Kum district. A 23-year-old man, identified as Mr. Thanadol, sustained serious injuries after being shot while riding his motorcycle.
Initial witness accounts from the victim's friends suggested the assailant was driving a Toyota Fortuner. However, investigators from the Lat Phrao Police Station have since clarified that surveillance footage and further evidence indicate the vehicle involved was actually a white Honda Freed.
Authorities have identified the primary suspect as the son of a police officer. Officials stated that the suspect's parents are currently arranging for him to surrender to the Lat Phrao Police Station later today.
