According to reports from Khaosod Online Thailand, Chalermkwan Lor-trakul, representing the Pheu Thai Party, has won the election for the President of the Kalasin Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO). The election took place following her resignation from the post on August 13, 2026, prior to the end of her term, to seek re-election.
As of 8:04 PM on August 23, 2026, with 99.88% of the votes counted, unofficial results indicate that Chalermkwan secured 306,497 votes, accounting for 81.8% of the total. She competed against Prasert Boonruang, who represented the Hug Phaeng Berng Yaeng Kalasin group.
