According to a report by Khaosod Online, the Bang Khonthi Subdistrict Administrative Organization (SAO) in Samut Songkhram province has adopted a 'data-led' approach to address local economic and social challenges. By utilizing public forums known as 'Lan Khwam Khit' (Thinking Grounds), the organization facilitates collaborative planning among community stakeholders to implement concrete development projects.

Key initiatives highlighted include the 'Long Khaek-Long Khlong' volunteer program, which has maintained local canals for over a decade and evolved into the 'Shrimp Fishing Club,' linking environmental conservation with local income. Other projects include the 'Sharing Vegetables, Sharing Happiness' initiative, the 'Rong Suan Yai Phaeng' community market, and a program providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities and their caregivers. Renu Leknimit, the Mayor of Bang Khonthi SAO, noted that these efforts are part of a 'Healthy Subdistrict' framework supported by the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) since 2012.
