Police Detain 22 Youths in Nakhon Ratchasima Over Potential Conflict

On August 23, 2026, police in Nakhon Ratchasima intervened after discovering a group of 22 youths, aged 12 to 18, gathered near the Nong Kae Chang public park behind Wat Pa Salawan. According to Khaosod Online, officers from the Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima Police Station and the 191 patrol unit conducted the operation after observing suspicious behavior late at night.

Upon inspection, authorities seized long knives and objects wrapped in black tape resembling explosive devices, which were found on motorcycles. Three of the youths claimed ownership of the weapons, stating they were for self-defense. Police processed all 19 individuals present at the scene, documented their details, and summoned their parents. Six motorcycles were also impounded as part of the investigation.
