Two Injured in Roadside Bombing in Narathiwat
A police officer and a passenger were injured after an explosive device detonated near their vehicle in Narathiwat province on August 22, 2026.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, a roadside bomb detonated on Road 4056 in Narathiwat province on the evening of August 22, 2026. The incident occurred at approximately 8:35 p.m. as Police Senior Sergeant Major Usman Useng of the Su-ngai Padi Police Station was driving his family home.
Reports indicate that the officer was traveling in a Toyota sedan with four other passengers when the device, concealed on the side of the road, exploded about 600 to 700 meters past the Dala Palas Mosque intersection. The blast caused significant damage to the left side of the vehicle and resulted in injuries to two individuals, who were subsequently transported to Narathiwat Ratchanakarin Hospital for medical treatment.
