Thai Highway Police have apprehended a 53-year-old man for operating a vehicle with cloned license plates, causing significant distress to the legitimate owner.
On August 22, 2026, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) and Highway Police announced the arrest of a 53-year-old man, identified as Mr. Natthawat, in connection with the use of fraudulent license plates. According to Khaosod Online, the suspect was operating an MG4 sedan that displayed the same registration details as a vehicle owned by an unsuspecting woman.
The victim had reportedly been suffering from severe distress after receiving numerous traffic violation tickets for locations she had never visited. The investigation, led by high-ranking officials from the Highway Police Division, culminated in the suspect's apprehension.
