The child, who is autistic and has communication limitations, went missing on August 1 after wandering out of his home’s back door while his family was occupied with chores.
Following the disappearance, local police, rescue teams, and volunteers—totaling between 200 and 300 people—launched an extensive search operation. The effort utilized specialized equipment, including thermal-imaging drones and police dogs. After nearly 80 hours of searching, the boy was discovered in a cornfield on the evening of August 4. He was immediately transported to a hospital suffering from severe dehydration.

While the child was successfully recovered, the report notes that he required medical treatment for his condition upon discovery.
