Rubber Authority of Thailand Announces Flood Relief for Nan Farmers
The Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) is providing financial assistance to rubber farmers in Nan province affected by recent severe flooding.
On August 22, 2026, the Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) announced a relief initiative for rubber farmers impacted by the ongoing flooding in Nan province. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, acting governor Weeris Amrapal stated that the agency is preparing to distribute 3,000 baht per affected household to assist those whose agricultural land and homes have been damaged.
The flooding has impacted several districts, including Mueang Nan, Pua, Tha Wang Pha, Wiang Sa, Santi Suk, and Phu Phiang. Preliminary assessments by the RAOT suggest that approximately 3,500 registered farmers and 35,000 rai of land have been affected by the disaster. This represents a significant portion of the 16,146 registered farmers in the province.
