Rubber Farmers in Nan Province Face Flood Crisis

According to a report by Thai Post on August 22, 2026, Transport Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit has directed the Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) to conduct an immediate survey of flood-related damages in Nan province. Preliminary data indicates that approximately 3,500 rubber farmers have been impacted, with damage spanning roughly 35,000 rai of land.

In response, RAOT Governor Weeris Amrapal has announced three urgent measures to assist those affected. Furthermore, the authority is currently evaluating a welfare support package that would provide financial assistance of up to 3,000 baht per affected farmer.
