A 73-year-old man was killed in his home in Wiang Sa district, Surat Thani, with authorities identifying his son as the primary suspect.
On August 21, 2026, local authorities in Surat Thani province responded to a fatal shooting at a residence in Ban Song, Wiang Sa district. According to reports from Khaosod Online, police discovered the body of a 73-year-old man, identified as Mr. Som, inside his home. The victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
Police investigators, led by Pol. Col. Narong Rakprathum, have identified the primary suspect as the victim’s 43-year-old son, Mr. Pi. Following the incident, the suspect reportedly fled the scene in a black four-door pickup truck. Law enforcement officials are currently conducting an investigation and actively searching for the suspect to bring him to justice.
