Pickup Truck Nearly Swept Away After Ignoring Road Collapse Warning in Udon Thani

According to the report, a pickup truck driver attempted to cross a construction site on Highway 2022, located between Ban Non Ngam and Ban Phon Santi in Na Kham sub-district. Despite officials placing traffic cones and explicitly warning the driver that the road was unsafe due to flood damage, the driver proceeded. Shortly after passing the warning point, the road surface collapsed, causing the vehicle to sink into the gap. Local residents and the Ban Dung District Chief, Suriyon Donsomjit, intervened immediately to rescue the driver and pull the vehicle to safety before it could be swept away by the current.
