Gas Cylinder Explosion Injures Glassblower in Samut Sakhon

On August 21, 2026, emergency services, including police from Krathum Baen Station and local rescue teams, responded to a gas cylinder explosion at a two-story commercial building in Om Noi, Samut Sakhon. The incident occurred while a glassblower was working on the ground floor.

According to Khaosod Online, the blast caused significant structural damage, including a shattered metal rolling door that was blown onto the street and cracked interior walls. Glass materials used for decorative molding were found shattered at the scene, alongside two gas cylinders—one air tank and one small household cooking gas tank—that were discovered toppled on the floor. The injured man was transported to Mahachai 2 Hospital for treatment.
