According to a report by Khaosod Online, the Royal Gazette published a royal command on July 14, 2026, announcing the elevation of Phra Phrom Sitthi to the high-ranking ecclesiastical title of Somdet Phra Vajirasitthacharn. This appointment, effective from July 12, 2026, designates the monk to reside at Wat Saket Ratchaworamahawihan in Bangkok.

Somdet Phra Vajirasitthacharn, currently 70 years old with 42 years in the monkhood, is recognized for his long-standing service to the Buddhist community. He was a close disciple of the late Somdet Phra Phutthachan (Kiao Upaseno), the former abbot of Wat Saket and acting Supreme Patriarch, having assisted in various administrative, educational, and missionary duties throughout his career.
