On August 21, 2026, a 58-year-old garage owner, identified as 'Nai Mai,' reported a series of escalating conflicts to the 'Sai Mai Tong Rod' support group. According to the report, the dispute began in April 2024 following a misunderstanding involving a local mechanic who is a close associate of a senior district official's father.
Nai Mai alleges that on April 13, 2026, during the Songkran festival, the mechanic and his associates confronted his family. Later that evening, the mechanic returned accompanied by the father of the senior district official. During a confrontation, the official's father allegedly fired a warning shot into the air and made verbal threats, claiming influence and suggesting that Nai Mai would no longer be able to reside in the area.
