According to a report by Thai Post on August 21, 2026, the Budget Committee is nearing the completion of its review regarding the national budget. Worawi, a representative involved in the process, announced that the committee has decided to cut 3 billion baht originally intended for the Klong Dan wastewater project settlement. These funds have been moved to the central budget, with officials suggesting that it is prudent to wait for further legal clarity on the case before finalizing the payment.
In total, the committee has adjusted the budget by 11 billion baht, reallocating funds to nine different government agencies. Discussions are also ongoing regarding whether the central budget allocated for energy crisis relief overlaps with existing emergency loan decrees.
