Prime Minister Anutin to Visit Flood-Affected Nan and Injured Soldiers in Ubon Ratchathani
Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is scheduled to visit Nan province to assess flood relief efforts and travel to Ubon Ratchathani to visit soldiers injured by a landmine.
According to a report by Khaosod Online on August 21, 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul is preparing to visit flood-affected areas in Thailand immediately upon his return from an official trip to Australia and New Zealand. Government spokesperson Rachada Dhnadirek stated that the Prime Minister is expected to arrive back in Thailand on the evening of August 22.
On the morning of August 23, the Prime Minister plans to travel to Nan province to monitor the flood situation, oversee relief operations, and assess the needs of local residents to facilitate post-flood recovery and rehabilitation. Following this, he will travel to Ubon Ratchathani in the afternoon to visit members of the Humanitarian Mine Action Unit who were severely injured by a landmine explosion while on duty near Chong An Ma, Nam Yuen District.
