M6 Motorway Opens Trial Section Between Bang Pa-in and Pak Chong

According to a report by Matichon Online, authorities have officially opened a trial section of the M6 motorway, spanning from Bang Pa-in to Pak Chong. Starting August 21, 2026, motorists are permitted to use this segment free of charge during specific periods: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

For travelers and residents, this development is significant as it offers an alternative route to the Northeast, potentially easing traffic congestion on existing major highways during peak weekend travel times. By providing a more direct connection, the motorway aims to improve travel efficiency for those heading toward the Nakhon Ratchasima region.

While the trial is currently limited to weekends, officials have set a target to open the entire length of the M6 motorway by December 2026.
