New Commemorative Amulets Released for Wat Phra That Phanom Replica Project
A new series of 'Chinnabanchorn Chao Sua Pan Lan' amulets has been launched to support the construction of a Phra That Phanom replica in Yasothon province.
According to a report by Khaosod Online, a group of devotees known as the 'Mangkon Sap Mongkhon' team has received permission to produce a new collection of sacred amulets. These items, titled 'Chinnabanchorn Chao Sua Pan Lan,' are being created to commemorate the casting of a replica of the Phra That Phanom, a highly revered Buddhist site located in Nakhon Phanom province.
The original Phra That Phanom is a 2,500-year-old square-shaped pagoda standing 57 meters tall, believed to house the chest bone relic of the Buddha. It serves as a significant spiritual landmark for both Thai and Lao communities along the Mekong River. The proceeds from this new amulet series are intended to fund the installation of the replica at Wat Khon Sai in Loeng Nok Tha District, Yasothon province, where the 109-year-old monk Luang Pu Thin Chanthathammo currently resides.
