Thailand to Launch Cancer Screening Centers at Orange Line MRT Stations

According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Thai Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Public Health have announced a joint initiative to integrate healthcare services into the public transit infrastructure. The project involves a partnership between the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) and the Department of Medical Services to transform space surrounding the Orange Line MRT stations into proactive cancer screening clinics.

With a budget of 400 million baht, the initiative aims to improve public access to essential health services by leveraging the high foot traffic of the transit system. Construction is scheduled to commence by the end of 2026, with the facilities expected to be fully operational by the end of 2027.
