Survey Reveals High Participation in 'Thai Chuay Thai Plus' Stimulus Program
A recent survey by the Trade Policy and Strategy Office indicates that 71.77% of participants utilized the 'Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40)' scheme, boosting local spending.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Trade Policy and Strategy Office (TPSO) conducted a nationwide survey of 5,465 individuals regarding the 'Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40)' economic stimulus program. The findings reveal that 71.77% of respondents actively utilized their benefits under the scheme.
The data highlights that ready-to-eat meals were the most popular category for spending, accounting for 48.22% of total usage. Furthermore, the survey suggests a positive shift in consumer behavior, with 36.96% of participants reporting increased confidence in their spending habits, while 23% noted that they purchased more goods and services from local community shops.
For residents and travelers, this program underscores a temporary boost in local economic activity and a potential increase in foot traffic at community-based businesses. While the survey provides insight into the immediate impact of the stimulus, the long-term effects on local commerce after the conclusion of the program remain to be confirmed. The TPSO report serves as a snapshot of current domestic consumption patterns, reflecting how government-backed initiatives influence daily purchasing decisions across Thailand.
