TEDA and Sinohydro Secure 2 Billion Baht EGAT Power Grid Contract
A joint venture between TEDA and Sinohydro has been awarded a 2.08 billion baht contract by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) to upgrade power infrastructure in Northern Thailand.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, a joint venture consisting of TEDA (part of the Samart Corporation group) and Sinohydro (STC) has successfully secured a major contract from the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). The project, valued at 2.08 billion baht, focuses on the development of power transmission systems across the provinces of Nan, Phrae, and Uttaradit.
The scope of the contract includes the construction of the Den Chai power substation and significant upgrades to the Mae Moh 3 and Tha Tako substations. The primary objective of this infrastructure development is to enhance the grid's capacity to accommodate electricity purchased from Laos.
