Mc Group Targets Growth with New Collaborations and AI Integration

As it enters its 51st year, Mc Group is launching new collaborations and lifestyle brands to boost revenue during the low season.

Mc Group, a prominent Thai retail company, has announced a strategic plan to reach a revenue target of 4.8 billion baht as it enters its 51st year of operation. According to Prachachat Business, the company is focusing on expanding its customer base among Gen Y and Gen Z demographics, aiming for an 80% reach within the next three years.

To mitigate the impact of the four-month rainy season—a period typically characterized by lower retail activity—the company is launching a collaboration project titled "Mc JEANS x ALANLERT," which is projected to generate 50 million baht in revenue. Furthermore, Mc Group is diversifying its portfolio by introducing two new lifestyle brands, WIN and MCJ, specifically designed to appeal to Gen Z consumers.

For residents and visitors, these developments signal a shift in retail offerings and potential new shopping experiences across Thailand. The company is also integrating artificial intelligence to support both its physical storefronts and online platforms, aiming to streamline the customer journey. While the company has set ambitious financial targets and outlined its brand expansion strategy, the long-term success of these new brands and the effectiveness of the AI integration in maintaining sales momentum during the low season remain to be confirmed.
