Legal proceedings have been initiated against several officials, including a former Director-General of the Department of Local Administration.
Despite these actions, the situation remains contentious. Investigations by the House Committee on Law, Justice, and Human Rights, led by Pol. Col. Tawee Sodsong, have raised serious questions regarding the Central Committee for Local Government Recruitment (KST). Critics are questioning how the 19-member committee initially validated results without proper adherence to actual test scores, suggesting the existence of a broader network of influence and potential bribery involving an estimated 4.5 billion baht.
