Major E-Cigarette Drug Bust in Bangkok’s Huai Khwang District
Bangkok police arrested a 30-year-old man for selling illicit e-cigarette pods containing narcotics to local youth and nightlife tourists.
On August 20, 2026, officers from the Children and Women Protection Sub-Division (DSD) of the Metropolitan Police Bureau conducted an operation in the Din Daeng area of Bangkok, resulting in the arrest of a 30-year-old man identified as Korakot. According to a report from Khaosod Online Thailand, the suspect was apprehended with 15 e-cigarette pods containing narcotics and a quantity of crystal methamphetamine.
The operation followed intelligence reports suggesting the suspect was actively distributing these illicit products to local youth and tourists frequenting nightlife venues in the Huai Khwang and Din Daeng districts. Police initiated a sting operation, arranging a purchase of the pods before moving in to make the arrest. A subsequent search of the suspect's premises reportedly uncovered additional quantities of the illicit items.
