According to Khaosod Online, the Prime Minister proposed leveraging T&G’s expertise—specifically their success in transforming local apples into a global brand—to improve the cultivation, storage, packaging, and value-added processing of Thai fruits.
The initiative aims to integrate high-quality Thai produce into T&G’s international distribution network, which spans over 50 countries. Furthermore, the Thai government is positioning the country as a central hub for agricultural trade within ASEAN. Officials highlighted Thailand’s strategic location, which serves a market of 700 million people, supported by robust infrastructure including Laem Chabang Port, Suvarnabhumi Airport, and advanced cold chain logistics.
For residents and travelers, this development signals a potential long-term shift in the availability and quality of premium Thai fruit exports, as well as increased investment in regional logistics.
