According to a report by Prachachat Business on August 20, 2026, Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, has initiated discussions with the Government Savings Bank (GSB) to implement a new AI-driven initiative dubbed 'Whispering Bird' (Ai Nok Krasib).
This project aims to streamline the loan application process for individuals by utilizing AI to analyze merchant account summaries, which would serve as formal evidence of income. By digitizing and simplifying the verification of financial history, the government hopes to provide a viable alternative for those currently relying on informal, high-interest debt markets.
