Police Seize Over 2 Million Methamphetamine Pills in Major Drug Bust
Thai authorities have dismantled a significant drug trafficking network, seizing over 2.03 million methamphetamine pills and assets worth 63 million baht.
On August 19, 2026, Khaosod Online reported that the Patrol and Special Operation Division (191 Police) successfully executed a major operation to disrupt a large-scale drug trafficking network. Following an investigation that began with a smaller arrest of 105 grams of crystal methamphetamine in the Ramkhamhaeng area last July, authorities conducted a sting operation that led to the arrest of four suspects.
The operation resulted in the seizure of more than 2.03 million methamphetamine pills, various firearm components, and assets valued at over 63 million baht. According to the suspects' confessions, the narcotics were transported from the northeastern region of Thailand to be stored before being distributed further.
