Military Deployed for Emergency Evacuations in Nan Province Following Flash Floods

On August 19, 2026, Khaosod Online reported that military units have been deployed to assist residents in Nan Province following intense overnight rainfall. The 38th Military Circle Disaster Relief Center, alongside volunteers, has initiated emergency evacuations and support operations in the Tha Wang Pha district, where the Nan River has overflowed its banks, inundating local homes.
In addition to the efforts in Tha Wang Pha, the 10th Cavalry Battalion of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment is providing aid to flood-affected residents in Pua district. Simultaneously, the 32nd Ranger Regiment has been dispatched to assist the community in Ban Hia, Sila Laeng sub-district, where flash flooding has been reported.
