Flooding in Nan Province Disrupts Transport Services
Heavy rainfall and flash flooding in Nan Province have forced the Transport Co., Ltd. (BKS) to temporarily adjust its Bangkok–Thung Chang bus route.
According to a report by Thai Post on August 19, 2026, severe weather conditions in Nan Province have caused significant disruptions to local transportation infrastructure. Heavy rainfall and subsequent flash flooding have rendered certain road sections impassable, specifically impacting the route connecting Bangkok to Thung Chang.
In response to these conditions, the Transport Co., Ltd. (BKS) has announced a temporary modification to its operations. Buses traveling on the Bangkok–Thung Chang line will now terminate and pick up passengers at Pua District instead of proceeding to their original destination. This measure is intended to ensure passenger safety while navigating the affected areas.
For travelers and residents in the region, this disruption may cause delays or require alternative arrangements for onward travel from Pua District. It is important to note that the duration of this service adjustment remains dependent on the receding of floodwaters and the assessment of road safety by local authorities.
